A settlement has been reached with Twin Cities Pain Clinic (“TCPC” or “Defendant”) in a class action lawsuit. This case is about a business email compromise that targeted one TCPC employee email account in July 2025 (the “Data Incident”). Certain files that contained private information may have been accessed. These files may have contained personal information such as names; dates of birth; mailing addresses; email addresses; phone numbers; financial account information; health insurance information; Social Security numbers; medical records numbers; treatment notes; and/or provider information. TCPC’s investigation has not uncovered any instances of fraud or misuse of such information.
The lawsuit is called In re Twin Cities Pain Clinic Data Breach Litigation, Case No. 27-CV-25-16549. It is pending in the District Court of Hennepin County, Minnesota (the “Litigation”). No court has found TCPC liable or at fault. The parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit (the “Settlement”) to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the Litigation.
“Class Members” are defined as individuals identified by TCPC's records who are entitled to benefits under the Settlement. Class Members may have received a previous notice directly from TCPC.
